Wednesday November 9, 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Meeting, Moose Lodge #1548, 2200 Pratt Street, Longmont, CO 80501. Open to all members and guests.

The lodge is one street west of main, between 21st and 23rd on Pratt Street. We'll be in the north hall. Folks who arrive early will need to enter at the main entrance, take the 2nd left, off the lobby, enter the middle hall and continue north to the north hall. The front door is a key card door but there is a button for the bar tenders to open the door. Those that arrive early can prop the door open on east side of the north hall so folks can park on the east side of the building and enter through that door.

TRR Wall Calendar Pictures Needed!!

Are you not sharing?? Bad TRR member! No Soup For You!
Christy and Gordon need to get your 2016 trip pictures by the November club meeting (or sooner) in order to create that great wall calendar that you will be looking at each month next year. You can post pictures on Club Express or put them on a thumb drive. Any way will work. The pictures need to be at 1 MB or larger in size and are best if they have club members in them, and/or their Jeeps. Trips that are lacking pictures for the calendar are: Parade of Lights, Holiday party, Memorial Day picnic, Miller Rock, Middle St. Vrain, Argentine Pass, Kingston Peak, Rock Junction, All-4-Fun, Super Bowl party, Go Cart Racing, Crescent/Mackinaw Lakes, Cumbres and Toltec, Buena Vista, 4th of July, Ladies' Run, North Twin Cone Peak, and Pass Hoppers.

TRR North Twin Cone Peak
by Rich Horiuchi. Photos by Rich and Cathy Horiuchi unless otherwise noted.
Bob and Jana, Gene, Don and his son’s family (Bret, Nicki, Avery, and Sophie), Richard and Karla, George and JJ, and we (Cathy, Rich, Jordan, and Aaron) met at the Loaf ‘N Jug east of Bailey and made our way to the Kenosha Pass campground. There, we aired down and then headed up the road (FS 126).

After climbing quickly and navigating through several switchbacks, we stopped at one of our favorite places to park and take in some views.
The rocky section that followed has continued to erode (leaving bigger rock obstacles), creating some fun challenges for those who decided not to take the bypass. Most of us tested out our skid plates and rear bumpers--meaning, it was a lot of fun!
We ate lunch at the bottom of the steep hill and then headed up the road to the top of North Twin Cone Peak.

At the top, we were afforded the awesome views this run is known for.
(2006 – 2016—some things change quite a bit over 10 years.)

On our way down, we had some more fun in the rocks, and once back in Golden, we ate dinner at On the Border and celebrated George and JJ’s anniversary with some sopapillas for dessert. A very enjoyable day was had by all! (Sorry, no lightning storm excitement again this year. Our track record for this is declining, but I’m not complaining.)
