The lodge is one street west of main, between 21st and 23rd on Pratt Street. We'll be in the north hall. Folks who arrive early will need to enter at the main entrance, take the 2nd left, off the lobby, enter the middle hall and continue north to the north hall. The front door is a key card door but there is a button for the bar tenders to open the door. Those that arrive early can prop the door open on east side of the north hall so folks can park on the east side of the building and enter through that door.

TRR Trivia – May 2019

By Christy Howe
Last month’s trivia question was presented by Erin B, who has been a faithful participant in meetings and our trivia challenges and had to wait TWO months to ask her question.

Question:
After World War II, why did Jeep settle on a 7-slotted grill?

Answer:
Jeeps served on all seven continents during the war. The first 7-slotted grill was the 1945 Willys CJ2A. Jeep branded the 7-slot and it’s been that way ever since.

Erin managed to stump the small group in attendance, with no correct answers submitted, so the points standing for 2019 didn’t change. The only results to report are the several innovative (yet incorrect) guesses:

The 7th iteration of the model
Seven seas (close but no cigar, Richard)
Just cuz
They built early CJ that way
Needed more room for headlights
Because 7 is a lucky number
Seven Slot
The 7-slot grill, not hard to find since everyone with a Jeep has it!

This month’s trivia question will be brought to you by Greg B.

Author’s note: The idea of New Zealand being its own continent seems to be catching on in the scientific world. I wonder if we’ll be seeing 8-slot grills anytime soon? Since we now only have eight planets instead of nine, maybe the 8-slot grill could represent both the number of continents and the number of planets!
