Trailered unlicensed off road vehicles could therefore violate motor vehicle laws when returning to the start. Be sure to consider this if you intend to drive an unlicensed off road vehicle. Club Meeting

Wednesday August 13th, 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Moose Lodge #1548, 2200 Pratt Street, Longmont, CO 80501
Open to all members and guests.

The lodge is one street west of main, between 21st and 23rd on Pratt Street. We'll be in the middle hall. Folks who arrive early will need to enter at the main entrance. In the lobby the rear left double door is the middle hall. The front door is a key card door but there is a button for the bar tenders to open the door. Those that arrive early can prop the door open on east side of the middle hall so folks can park on the east side of the building and enter through that door.

  • Trivia was done by Gordon H. Question: Shortly after WWII, in many ways similar to the Willys Agri-jeep, a German company began producing a “25 hp, 4wd vehicle that required to fit over two rows of potatoes like a slow agricultural tractor.” This vehicle is still in production today. What is its name? Answer: Unimog, by Gary B.
"UNIversal-MOtor-Gerät", Gerät being the German word for a piece of equipment (also in the sense of device, machine, instrument, gear, apparatus). It was created by German engineer Hans Zabel, who made the note Universal-Motor-Gerät on one of the technical drawings for the Unimog. Later, the Universal-Motor-Gerät was shortened to the acronym Unimog.

The Coney Flats group had over eight trees to cut while the Middle St. Vrain group had fewer trees but installed three new posts onto road signs. Both groups met at Coney Flats doing work on the signs at the Rock Garden as well as moving one rock to create a less difficult bypass. See the Middle St. Vrain Photo Album on the club website.
