Club Meeting
Wednesday August 12th, 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Moose Lodge #1548, 2200 Pratt Street, Longmont, CO 80501
Open to all members.
The lodge is one street west of main, between 21st and 23rd on Pratt Street.
We'll be in the middle hall. Folks who arrive early will need to enter at the main entrance. In the lobby the rear left double door is the middle hall. The front door is a key card door but there is a button for the bar tenders to open the door. Those that arrive early can prop the door open on east side of the middle hall so folks can park on the east side of the building and enter through that door.

Past Meeting Minutes
- Thanks to Dan T for bringing meeting refreshments.
- No guests were present.
- No new members were present.
- Treasurers report was given by Vic W.
- Club Express update was given by Vic W. Club Express has been dealing with disruption of service. Solutions have been implemented.
- Fun Fact by Christy H. On the day of the Middle St. Vrain Seasonal Opening she was hiking up the Middle St. Vrain to meet the group that was cutting through the 22 downed trees when she lost her phone at the Coney Creek crossing of the Middle St. Vrain. She found a Google Pixel phone but it was not hers. She kept looking and finally found her Apple phone which still worked after drying it out. After drying out the Google phone it also worked and she was able to determine who it belonged to. After calling the person she found out it had been in Coney Creek for a month. The owner of the Google phone was happy to get her phone back as she did not liker her new one.
- Fun Fact from Matt S. Which is more aerodynamic a cow or a Jeep? We all know it’s a cow. In WWII the Jeep MB was awarded the purple heart. Ando Ferrari once said the Jeep was Americas only sports car.
- Planning for the Middle St. Vrain guardian obstacle project on June 13th. We will have a backhoe and operator to replace the large boulders that have been removed from guardian obstacle. Other repair work at the Middle St. Vrain 4WD host site will be done. Look for details on the club calendar.
- Planning for the next few Monday Wheelers trips July 13 will be Kingston Peak.
- Dan T – Planning for the Sts John and Deer Creek trip. Meet at the Keystone Ski Resort parking lot at 9:00am.
- Dan T – Planning for the Silverton trip. Trips will be decided each day. Meet at the Silverton Visitor Center at 9:00am each day.
- Ray C – Trout Trailblazers tip to Slide Lake, will camp at the end of the four wheel drive road.
- Matt S reviewed the Middle St. Vrain Weekday Wheelers trip. One of the new guardian obstacle boulders was loose. (It ended up being the one that got pulled out later in the week.) Noted all of the cleared trees. The boardwalk along the south side of the creek where you cross Coney Creek at Coney Flats needs work.
- Greg B reviewed the 4th of July trip up Gold Hill to the Switzerland Trail, then on to Pennsylvania Gulch. From there they did Gordon Gulch then Caribou and found some of the buck and rail missing. The mud holes are very deep now. Lots of flowers were in bloom.
- Jana C reviewed the Ladies Luncheon at the Black Bear restaurant at Johnsons Corner. Eight ladies showed up.
- Motion to close meeting, Wanda C, second by Debbie T.
- Open discussion.
