Please Note:  Club trips are designed for licensed vehicles and often enter and exit at different locations. Trailered unlicensed off road vehicles could therefore violate motor vehicle laws when returning to the start. Be sure to consider this if you intend to drive an unlicensed off road vehicle. Official Club Radios are GRMS channel 19 for travel to-from an event and 5 for during an event. NOTE, subject to change by event leader.

  • Researching with the Moose Lodge when we might be able to have in person meetings again at the Moose Lodge.
  • Gordon H will do research on costs of different options to replace the plaques that were on the Middle St. Vrain kiosk. Discussed placing the new plaque(s) at the host site inside the main window to protect them from future loss.
  • Bylaws update to correct our dues structure. See Club News section of this newsletter for changes.
  • Discussed Lefthand OHV area status. Considered options to move the Forest Service forward on the new planning process. The Forest Service has two grants with State Trails, one specific to Lefthand, will be reviewed in March. We will be informed when the grant Zoom meeting will happen so we can support the grants.
  • Greg B and Matt S brought up the idea of working with the Moose Lodge to have a car show in the summer as a fund raiser. Club is in support. They will do more research.
  • Don L said the March Jeep Jamboree in Texas is full. Some of the other Jamborees he has placed on our calendar are also full.

Club News

TRRTALK / TRR Forums

The TRR Forum is on our Club Express page. Go to TRR Main page and login. Click your member section in the upper right and then click on your profile. Select the Froum link at the bottom to set your preferences and forums you want to join.
You can also send an email to forum@trr4wd.com, which will go to all TRR members.

Club Refreshments

Club refreshments will be postponed until we can meet at the Moose Lodge again. Thank you to all who have volunteered in the past.

Club Bylaws Change

Following are the sections of the bylaws that are being proposed to change. The full marked up bylaws can be found in the Documents section of our club website. (Log in required)

Article 3 – Membership
Section F - Each paid membership will receive notification via email that the monthly newsletter is available on the club website, one club decal, and one small club jacket patch. Each paid membership will include membership in the Colorado 4WD Association.
Section G - Each paid associate member will receive notification via email that the monthly newsletter is available on the club website, and one club decal.
Article 4 – Dues
Section A - The annual dues for “Supporting” members of the club shall be $25.00 plus, the cost of Colorado 4WD Association, the Blue Ribbon Coalition, United 4WD Associations, and Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition dues. The cost of the Colorado 4WD Association, Blue Ribbon Coalition, United 4WD Associations, and Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition dues will be waived if the member is already a member of said associations.
Section B - The annual dues for “Members” of the club shall be $25.00. plus, the cost of Colorado 4WD Association dues. The cost of the Colorado 4WD Association dues will be waived if the member is already a member of this organization.
Section C - The annual dues for “Associate” members of the club shall be $20.00. Associate members are those individuals or families who live more than 50 miles from Longmont, or are unable to participate in regular club activities.
Section E - Dues shall be due and payable within the first month of each year. A grace period will be allowed until the February meeting at which time membership will terminate and all club privileges cease (See Article 13 Section A). Any new “Supporting”, or ” Member” or “Associate” joining after the July meeting of said year will be required to pay the full annual dues which will be applied to the remainder of the current year and the following year's annual dues. Any member joining or re-joining after the February meeting can only join as a “Member” but can upgrade their membership to “Supporting” at the next dues cycle.
Article 6 – Voting
Section B - No guest or associate member shall have voting rights.
Article 7 – Elections
Section C - Associate members, Non-members and guests are not allowed to hold an office position in the club.
Article 8 – Officers / Delegates
Section H - The Club Delegates represent the Trailridge Runners 4WD Club at all Colorado 4WD Association (CO4WDA) meetings. The Delegates will report the activities that take place at these meetings to the members of the Trailridge Runners 4WD Club.
